Stone House in Sutivan / Architect Vinko Peračić
- this stone house in Sutivan is an example of contemporary Mediterranean architecture where natural stone defines both the identity and atmosphere of the space. Designed by architect Vinko Peračić, all stonemasonry work – from concept to final execution – was completed by our workshop under the supervision of Dražen Jakšić. The building is characterised by clean lines and minimalist geometry, with the highlight being the stone façade made of white Brač stone. The exterior features our signature technique known as the “grebana façade”, where the surface of the stone is manually structured into fine horizontal lines. This delicate texture creates a rich visual rhythm that shifts with the light throughout the day. The result is a stone façade that blends precision and warmth into timeless architectural elegance. This approach demonstrates how stone for façades and stone for exterior design can define a modern architectural language. The stone staircase, combined with glass railings, adds lightness and visual clarity, while openings without stone frames create sleek, seamless surfaces typical of contemporary design. Inside, Brač stone continues in the stone flooring, wall claddings, and refined details that make up a luxurious stone interior design. The interplay between smooth honed finishes and subtly textured surfaces enhances tactile contrast and adds a sense of sophistication. The continuity of natural stone for interior and exterior creates harmony between the inner and outer spaces. This project proves how stone for villas and houses can be both a structural and aesthetic element, achieving a luxury stone interior design that feels organic and enduring. The precision of stone cladding, perfectly aligned joints, and attention to every detail highlight the craftsmanship that defines our workshop’s reputation.
