Tomb for the Muller Stambuk Family

- this small tomb, created in our Jakšić stonemasonry workshop, is a fine example of how even a seemingly modest work can achieve the powerful character of a monumental creation. Although it is a smaller grave, the carefully thought-out design and masterful execution give it dignity and strength that go far beyond its dimensions. The entire tomb is crafted from pure white Brač stone, with clean lines and a calm, balanced form. Yet within this simplicity lie subtle but meaningful interventions that give the monument its unique artistic character. The main headstone slab rises gently on one side, curving as if it were the surface of the sea moved by the wind. Solid stone here seems to become light and flowing, creating the impression of movement and life. On this wave-like detail is engraved the family name, making the personal story an integral part of the artistic expression. Another remarkable feature is the vase, whose upper surface echoes the same flowing line as the headstone slab. In this way, the tomb becomes a unified whole in which every element complements the other, forming a coherent and harmonious composition. This is an example of stonemasonry precision and thoughtful design that characterise our workshop. This tomb is particularly dear to us because it shows how expressive white Brač stone can be in the hands of a master craftsman. The design and execution are the work of Dražen Jakšić, and once again confirm the values of our workshop – the union of tradition, contemporary design, and deep respect for memory.
