A New Tomb in Crikvenica – A Story Carved in Stone

We proudly present another tomb from our Jakšić workshop – a new tomb in Crikvenica, created in memory of a young life lost too soon. This project is a reminder that a tomb and the creation of a headstone are not merely technical tasks, but deeply emotional processes where craftsmanship, artistry and respect come together.

This tomb, made from white Brač stone, was fully custom-designed according to the family’s wishes. In such projects, the creation of a tomb involves not only precise stone processing but also the development of a visual language that will honour the life and personality of the deceased. Every detail is symbolic and thoughtfully crafted.

A key feature of this headstone is the wavy line that flows across the upper surface. These waves are not decorative; they represent the profession and the life path of the deceased. They form a personal, intimate story carved into stone. The vase is integrated into the design, its upper line continuing the curve of the stone surface. This gives the headstone a unified, harmonious appearance.

Our workshop specialises in the creation of tombs and the production of custom headstones.
