Our Jakšić workshop had the honour of contributing to the interior design of the renowned Restaurant Kala in Supetar — a restaurant with a Michelin Recommendation and the prestigious JRE (Jeunes Restaurateurs) label, led by head chef Dino Šeparović. Kala is one of the island’s most respected fine dining destinations, known for its modern interpretation of local ingredients and a refined, emotional culinary philosophy.
For this project, we designed a decorative wall based on simplicity, rhythm, and texture. The main feature consists of five large circular elements carved from Brač white limestone. Each circle features a unique composition of linear grooves, creating delicate relief textures that shift with the light and viewing angle.
Although unified in shape, each circle is visually distinct — each carries its own rhythm and artistic expression. The elements are set against a darker background, enhancing the contrast and emphasising the warmth and natural tone of the stone. The subtle backlighting transforms the wall into a contemporary art installation.
Elegance, minimalism, and clean lines — present in our stonework — perfectly align with Kala’s fine dining identity. Chef Dino Šeparović is known for sophisticated interpretations of Dalmatian flavours, built on clarity, harmony, and authenticity. The circular motif, symbolising completeness, fits seamlessly into this concept.
In addition to the interior elements, our workshop created the outdoor stone wall in the restaurant’s garden. It features grooved stone panels, one of our signature products, adding texture and character to the exterior.
